Frequently Asked Questions

  • The Threshold Circle is a six-month, in-person gathering for women over 50 who are standing at a meaningful transition in life. It’s a space for reflection, conversation, embodiment, and community — grounded in lived wisdom, not fixing or self-improvement.

  • No. The Threshold Circle is trauma-sensitive, not trauma-focused. While we honor that many women carry experiences that have shaped them, no one is asked to relive, disclose, or process trauma. Sharing is always optional. The focus is on integration, presence, and who you are becoming now.

  • Absolutely not. You are always in choice. Listening is participation. Sharing happens organically and only if it feels right for you.

  • The Open House is a relaxed, informal opportunity to learn more about The Threshold Circle in person. You’re welcome to come and go, enjoy light snacks, ask questions, and get a feel for the space and the energy of the circle. There is no presentation and no expectation to commit.

  • No. The Open House is an invitation, not an obligation. Some women will feel a clear yes right away, others may take time, and some may simply enjoy the experience. All responses are honored.

  • Gatherings are held at a private residence in the Texas Hill Country just Northwest of Austin. The exact location is shared after registration or RSVP.

  • The circle meets once a month in person. Outside of the gatherings, there is no required homework or preparation. This is a spacious, lived-experience-based offering rather than a curriculum.

There will be an optional one hour Zoom check-in two weeks after our in-person meetings (on Saturdays).

  • Life happens. While consistency is encouraged to support the container, occasional absences are understood. The circle is held with flexibility and compassion.
